Russia Was Not Included in the FATF List Again
On October 25, the FATF (Financial Action Task Force on Money Laundering) meeting was held in Paris, where the question of including the Russian Federation, a terrorist state, in the “black” list was raised once again. And once again, it was not included in either the “black” or “grey” lists. It was only decided to extend the suspension of the Russian Federation’s membership in this organization.
Defending exclusively their economic interests, China, India, Saudi Arabia and South Africa (the latter is included in the FATF “grey” list) voted against the inclusion of the Russian Federation to the “black” list.
To achieve at least some results at the Paris meeting, members of the international group decided to add Algeria, Angola, Côte d’Ivoire and Lebanon to the “grey” list.
